Child hero honored with tulip poplar

A young boy saved his younger brother from drowning and thus became an instant hero.


The plaque created to honor the four year old boy reads:

Hero Tree
This tulip poplar tree is to honor
Jordan Epley, who, at the age of four,
rescued his fifteen month old brother,
Aaron, from drowning. It was donated
by Stan LeMaster, and was grown from a
tree planted by George Washington at
Mount Vernon."
