Five Sullivan Brothers crabapple tree

This descendant of a famous crab apple tree is growing in Forest Hills, Jefferson County Kentucky.
The crab apple tree is in full bloom in mid-April.

The plaque reads:

"5 Sullivan Brothers crabapple tree 
(Largest single family loss during WWII) 
Lost in Naval battle at Guadalcanal 
on USS Juneau Nov. 13th 1942 
Tree donated by Jim Fegenbush (and) Stan Lemaster (Guadalcanal veteran)"

Branches are loaded with flowers and bees are being attracted.
